I need to send an invoice again
Email a sent invoice to your client a second time with Resend, or share its payment link.
Clients lose emails. Resend emails a sent invoice again, exactly as before: your message, the invoice, the PDF and, when card payment is on, the Pay button. It shows you the preview first, so you see who it will go to.
Step by step
- In the menu on the left, choose Invoices.
- On the invoice's row, open More actions and choose Resend. The Resend Invoice preview opens, with the line "This will be emailed to" and anyone copied.
- Check the preview.
- Choose Resend. A message confirms "Invoice emailed again to" and the address.
- Resend is on every sent invoice, whether it is unpaid, part paid or paid. A paid invoice shows Paid and Balance due lines, which makes it a handy copy for the client's records.
- The invoice keeps its status. Resending never changes the amounts.
- If the client's address was wrong, fix it on the client record first; the preview then shows the new address.
Share the payment link instead
With card payments set up, Share Payment Link on an unpaid invoice opens the Send Payment Link box. Send emails the invoice with its Pay button; Copy Link copies the link to paste into a text message or your own email. Share Payment Link appears when the invoice lets the client pay by card; Turn On Card Payment on the row switches that on.
Tip: A client statement lists every open invoice with what is owed. In Clients, choose Email Statement on the client's row to send one with a PDF.
Good to know: For a quote, choose Accept Link on its row and send the link to the client. For a credit note, choose Send (or Resend) on its row.
