I cannot connect a bank
Business and upOwner or admin
The messages you may see when connecting a bank, what each means, and what to do.
Find the message you see below.
| No Connect a Bank button, and "Bank feeds are part of Business and Enterprise" | Your workspace is on the Free plan. Upgrade in Settings → Plan & Billing, or import statements instead. |
|---|---|
| No Banking in the menu at all | You have the Member role. Only owners and admins use Banking. Ask the owner. |
| "Connecting a bank needs two-step sign-in on your account." or "Turn on two-step sign-in before you connect a bank account." | Turn on two-step sign-in in Settings → Account & Security, then sign out and back in with your code. |
| "Sign out and back in with your authenticator code before you connect a bank account." | Two-step sign-in is on, but this time you signed in without the code (or before you turned it on). Sign out, then sign in again and enter the code. |
| "A support sign-in cannot connect a bank account." | Todah support, when looking at your workspace for you, is never allowed to connect a bank. You do it yourself. |
| "Your plan allows … connected banks. Upgrade your plan to raise this limit." | You have connected as many banks as your plan includes (5 on Business, 30 on Enterprise). Disconnect one you no longer use, or upgrade. |
| "Bank connections are not set up on this server yet." | Bank feeds are switched off on the Todah server you use. Import statements instead. |
| "Could not load Plaid. Check your connection and try again." | Your browser could not reach Plaid. Check your internet connection, and turn off any ad or script blocker for Todah, then try again. |
| "Could not reach Plaid. Try again in a moment." | A short outage between Todah and Plaid. Wait a minute and try again. |
If your bank itself shows an error inside the Plaid window, the message comes from your bank or Plaid. Check you can sign in on your bank's own website first.
