"Nobody at this client is set to receive invoices (or quotes)"
Why Todah holds back an invoice, quote, statement or portal link, and the two-minute fix.
When you send an invoice, a quote, a statement or a portal link, Todah looks for someone at the client who is set to receive that kind of document. If there is nobody, it sends nothing and shows a message such as: Nobody at Acme Ltd is set to receive invoices — add an email address on the client, tick Invoices beside it, or add a contact who receives invoices.
How to fix it
- In the menu on the left, choose Clients.
- Choose Edit on the client's row.
- If the Email box is empty, type the client's email address.
- Beside This address receives, tick Invoices (for invoices, statements and the portal link) or Quotes (for quotes).
- Or, under Other People at This Client, add a person ticked for that kind and choose Add.
- Choose Save Changes, then send the document again.
Good to know: Statements, receipts, reminders, refund notices, credit notes and portal links follow the Invoices tick.
