More than one person at a client: who gets invoices, who gets quotes
Accounts payable on invoices, a shared projects mailbox copied on everything, the estimator on quotes.
A client's own email address is the main recipient for the kinds you tick beside it — Invoices, Quotes or both. Other people at the client are added as contacts and are copied (Cc) on the kinds you tick for them.
- Clients → open the client. Under the email address, tick what that address receives. Accounts payable's address, for example, might take invoices only.
- Then Other People at This Client.
- Add a name (optional) and an email address, tick Invoices, Quotes or both, and press Add. Up to ten per client.
- Invoices covers everything that follows an invoice: the invoice itself, statements, payment receipts, reminders, refund notices and credit notes. Quotes covers quotes and nothing else.
- When you send, the confirmation names everyone who was copied.
If the client's own address is not ticked for a kind, the first contact ticked for it is the recipient and the rest are copied. If nobody is ticked for quotes, Send on a quote tells you so instead of sending nothing. The address on the client record is never copied to itself, and a contact must be ticked for at least one kind — remove the contact instead of unticking both.
