Download, print or view an invoice PDF
Get a PDF of any invoice, quote or credit note for your records, to print, or to send yourself, without the web address printed on it.
A PDF is a file that looks the same on every computer and printer. Every invoice, quote and credit note in Todah can be opened as a page or saved as a PDF, in your design, with your logo and colours.
Step by step
- In the menu on the left, choose Invoices.
- On the invoice's row, choose Download PDF (under More actions if it is not shown on the row). The file is saved to your computer's downloads, named with your business name and the invoice number.
- To look at it first instead, choose View. The invoice opens in a new tab.
- On that tab, choose Download PDF at the top right to save it.
- To print, open the PDF and print it, or press Ctrl+P (Cmd+P on a Mac) on the View tab.
- Quotes: on the Quotes page, choose View, then Download PDF on the page that opens.
- Credit notes: on the Credit Notes page, choose View, then Download PDF.
- The Send preview also has a Download PDF button.
- The PDF is the same file your client receives attached to the email.
Good to know: Printing from the View tab leaves the todah.ca address, the date and the page title off the paper. If the PDF cannot be made for some reason, the page opens straight into your browser's print box instead, where you can choose Save as PDF.
Tip: A part-paid invoice prints with Paid and Balance due lines, so the copy always shows what is still owed.
The design of the PDF (layout and colours) is chosen in Settings → Business → Invoice & Quote Design, and applies to invoices, quotes and statements.
