One line, several sites: the item and its details
The first line of a description is the item; every line under it prints beneath it. Put the addresses there.
A line's description box takes more than one line. The first line is the item and prints in full; press Enter, and every line after it prints beneath the item on the invoice or quote. That is where site addresses, the scope, serial numbers and anything else the client needs to see belong.
- On the invoice or quote, pick the saved item (or type the item name on the first line) — for example "Telecom installation".
- Press Enter and type one site per line: "123 Abbey Road, Calgary", "45 BlackRock Way, Airdrie" and so on. The box grows as you type.
- Set the quantity to the number of sites if they are priced the same, or use one line per differently-priced site.
- Preview: the item is the heading of the line and the sites are listed under it, readable, not greyed out.
Do not make each site a separate saved item: that repeats the item name seven times and hides the addresses. One item, the sites beneath it.
