Disconnect a bank
Stop a bank feed and remove the connection. The lines already brought in stay in your books.
Disconnect a bank when you close the account, change banks, or no longer want its lines coming in. Only the owner or an admin can do this.
Step by step
- In the menu on the left, choose Banking.
- In the Bank Feeds card, find the bank and choose Disconnect.
- Read the question: "Disconnect … ? New lines stop arriving. Lines already brought in stay in your books." Choose OK.
- The bank disappears from the Bank Feeds card and a "Bank disconnected" message appears.
What happens
- Todah asks Plaid to remove the connection and deletes its own stored key for it. Todah can no longer read that bank.
- Every line already brought in stays in Transactions, matched or not.
- The bank no longer counts toward your plan's limit, so you can connect another one.
- If you ever see "Removed here, but Plaid did not confirm the removal", the connection is gone from Todah; the leftover at Plaid is logged so it can be removed by hand. You do not need to do anything.
If you remove Todah's access from inside your online banking instead, Todah notices and the bank disappears from the Bank Feeds card in the same way.
Connecting the same bank again later
When you connect a bank you had before, it sends its history again. Todah recognises the lines it already has from the earlier connection to the same account (same last four digits, same day, amount and description) and does not bring them in a second time. Only the lines that are new since you disconnected arrive.
Tip: To pause a feed for a while, untick its accounts instead of disconnecting.
Good to know: Closing your whole workspace also disconnects every bank.
