By Client and Vendor: who your money comes from and goes to
Income by Customer and Expenses by Vendor: totals per client and per supplier for the period, with what is paid and what is still owed.
This report answers two questions side by side: which clients bring in the most money, and which suppliers you spend the most with. Both lists are sorted largest first.
- In the menu on the left, choose Reports.
- Choose Receivables & Payables, then By Client and Vendor.
- Pick the period at the top.
Income by Customer
| Customer | The client. (no client) collects invoices not linked to a client. |
|---|---|
| Invoiced | The total of the client's invoices dated in the period, tax included. Drafts and Cancelled invoices are left out. |
| Collected | Payments recorded against those invoices. |
| Outstanding | Invoiced minus Collected. |
Expenses by Vendor
| Vendor | The supplier. (no vendor) collects bills with no vendor. |
|---|---|
| Billed | The total of the vendor's bills dated in the period, tax included. |
| Paid | Payments recorded on those bills: by hand with Mark Paid, or by matching a bank line. A bill that is Paid counts in full; a part-paid bill counts what has been paid so far. |
| Outstanding | Billed minus Paid. |
Good to know: These lists add up invoices and bills as they were issued. Credit notes are listed on the Credit Notes page, and come off your revenue on the Profit and Loss. Income recorded from a bank deposit appears under its client, or under (no client). The export adds the number of invoices or bills and the totals before tax.
