Two-step sign-in and recovery codes

Any authenticator app; recovery codes for the day you lose the phone.

  1. Settings → Account & security → Two-step sign-in → Turn on. Scan the code with Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy or any authenticator app, then enter the six-digit code.
  2. Save the recovery codes shown once, somewhere that is not the same phone. Each works once.
  3. From then on sign-in asks for a code after your password. Turn off from the same page.

Two-step sign-in is required before connecting a bank.
