Todah is made in Calgary by A913 Services Inc. It started as the books for our own company, on software that never quite fit: paying for features we did not use while the ones we needed did not exist. So we built the thing we wanted, and then made it something other Canadian businesses could shape to their own work.
Who it is for
Owners of small Canadian businesses who keep their own books because someone has to: trades, shops, studios, consultancies, clinics. People who raise the invoice the day the job finishes, photograph the receipt in the truck, and want to know who owes them, what they owe, and what they kept, without opening a spreadsheet.
Alongside your accountant
Todah is not a replacement for professional advice. It is there so that when you hand things over, they are already categorised, reconciled and exportable.
Canadian tax, done properly
GST, HST, PST and QST set up per province, charged per line, with input tax credits kept apart from PST that is a real cost.
What we hold ourselves to
Each of these is something you can check in the product, not a promise on a page.
Your data is yours
Every record you have entered exports to CSV from Settings whenever you like. No export fee, and no waiting on support to release it.
Separated at the database
Each business's records are separated by row-level security in the database itself, as well as by the application, so a request can only ever see its own workspace's books.
Your brand, not ours
Your logo, colours and sending name on everything a client sees. Todah does not appear on your invoices, quotes or statements.
You check before anything saves
A scanned receipt becomes a draft for you to confirm, not an entry in your books. Every figure it read is yours to correct before it counts.
Every change is on record
An audit log keeps who did what and when, and owners are told when a teammate deletes an invoice, removes a payment or exports the data.
Plain about where things go
Your books are stored in Canada, in Montreal. The application itself runs on servers in the United States, and a few features use US services: document scanning, bank feeds, card payments and email delivery. The privacy policy lists each one.
You decide what gets built next
Ask for something from inside your workspace and it comes to us, not to other customers: what a business asks for says a lot about how it runs, so requests stay private to the workspace that made them.
What we are working on is published as a roadmap every workspace can vote on, one vote per business, so a large team cannot outvote a sole trader. When something you asked for moves, you are told in the app.
